Hex Hall REVIEW and FREE download
Title: Hex Hall
Genre: YA/ Fantasy/Contemporary
Author: Rachel Hawkins
Hi everyone. For today. I'm going to share and give my review on one of my favorite books. Based on the cover itself, you will expect it to be light and funny story. It met my expectation. The first part of the book is really light and funny.
The story is about Sophia Mercer who is a witch. Daughter of a human mother and a warlock father whom she never met and talked to except from emails. She and her mother moved often and lived in 19 different cities because of her attempt to use her powers in helping her schoolmates but did go wrong. She was sent to Hecate Hall (Hex Hall) when her parents had enough of her epic fail use of magic. Hecate Hall is where kids who misbehave or use spells in front of humans, are sent and where they must stay until graduation. It is a reformatory school for witches, faeries and werewolves.
Once in the school, Sophie found out how little she knew about her powers and about what is happening in her school. There were secrets yet to unfold and she will going to find it out to help her bestfriend/roommate (who is a vampire) who have been accused of doing a mysterious crime in the school. Sophie also had fallen in love with the most handsome boy in Hex Hall, Archer Cross.
Well, another thing I like about this book is how the author knew that there will be comparison about other books and she proceeds to pre-empt any negative connotations by making Sophie very sarcastic and funny.
There is a much more deeper secret in Hecate Hall and if you want to find out, read the book and once you started to read it, you definitely can't put it down.. Enjoy..
I'll put a link on where you can download it for free.. Happy Reading
